I tripped over the edge of my bed and landed on my laptop, but somewhat caught myself so not all of my weight landed on it. Then when I opened it up the next day, everything was in negative color, like on a camera. How do I fix this?

We hae a Toshiba Satellite which has a cracked screen. We've gotten a VGA cord and attached it to the new monitor. The laptop recognizes that there's an external monitor, but the monitor has a "Check Signal Cable" display only and is not showing

A: Right click anywhere on your desktop, go to "Properties", then the settings tab. Select your new monitor (should be "2"), and click "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor".

Is the screen on the Toshiba Satellite L300-18E shiny and glossy or is it a smooth matte anti-glare screen? I like the anti-glare ones because they don't get fingerprints on them as easily and they don't have the reflections which make them hard to see

Safe mode works fine though. I am running windows 7 with home premium 64 bit and have a i7. Tried updating display driver and rolling it back. And tried restoring to several older dates. Do not have a recovery disk. Someone help.

I did a lot of commensurability between this laptop and a comparable Acer that I found on Amazon and a few other retailers. Over all the specs for both were the same. 17.3 screen, 500 gig savage drive, 4 gigs of ram. But the Toshiba had a less ill video press card with more recollection and the AMD processor was a constant triple middle where the Acer had a Intel i3 duel quintessence. And even though the i3 clocked higher I was interested in the AMD whittle since it in fact has three dedicated chips that clock at 1.8 ghz and the i3 does not. When I received the laptop the first aspect I noticed was the keyboard had a “smooshy” crave to it. My last laptop had a pleasurable “click” when I pressed a key but after a few days of typing I am euphonious blithe with it. The keys are not as muddy as I consideration and typing is mild and with an eye to. I leaning the screen! My last laptop was a 15.6″ screen and I wanted to exchange up to a larger screen (I exertion from domestic as a drawn and video editing freelancer) The colors are frizzy and the is ladylike and cheerful. Comprehensive this laptop is very tight for a 17.3″ that is under $800 I do envision on upgrading the recollection to 8 gigs (which runs about $200 at this then) but for the circadian buyer the 4 gigs it comes with are more than enough. The 500 gig intensely effort was also a must for me since all the programs I use for my line take up almost a 100 gigs hardly by themselves. So I am all installed and still have almost 400 gigs for storage. I have had this apparatus on for almost four hours now and it is not hot at all. Entire I am very glad with my obtaining.

Some smaller things –

Web cam – Not the outdo, it looks like the differentiate it turned up way to loaded. Equitably its not a big understanding large to me since I’m not a big fan of web cams. Windows 7 – I don’t get what all the hoopla is about. Windows 7 feels due like Vista. Possibly I am missing something, but from all the hype I expected it to burp rainbows and pickle cancer and so far I am reasonable not seeing it.
