I have bought two cameras now and neither of them have been waterproof and have let water into the battery compartment. I checked the seals carefully before putting them in the water. I am debating buying another but is it worth it are they actually waterproof

A: For the price, I think you could do better. This one is for someone who drops things all the time. A better camera would be something like the Fujifilm Finepix S2100HD.
